Being on the spectrum myself, so much of this resonates. I count myself lucky to have grown up on the edge of American society - it helps, when dealing with bullies, to have personal knowledge that their world isn't the only one out there. So much of their power stems from being able to make people feel different and therefore fully exposed to the banal brutalities of social life.

It did a lot to restore my faith in the potential of humanity to see Ukrainians stand up and give a classic bully the bloody nose nobody else had the guts to. I'll tell you - if anyone is going to save the world, it's gonna be Ukrainians. They're showing us all the way.

Il y a une grande beauté dans la complexité des détails du monde, et on ne peut les voir qu'en se passionnant pour des sujets particuliers. Si on refuse de regarder, on doit avoir une vie bien plate.
